This second generation privately held company has been serving the Mid-Atlantic region since 1972 as a leader in the custom sign manufacturing industry.  With manufacturing and sales located in New Oxford, PA, and an additional sales location in Hagerstown, MD, Strickler Signs (“Strickler”) serves the needs of businesses throughout the region.

Prior to dataSIGN, Strickler used a legacy client-server based Business Management system for estimating and another off-the-shelf package for accounting. There were also numerous other paper systems to run their business. This caused delays and wasted time transferring data between applications. In addition, because of the nature of these procedures, some of the information was just not readily available. Often that information was “somewhere” in a folder.

Strickler realized that they a needed a dependable and fully integrated business system that could bring all their processes together. It also had to fit their business environment to distribute real-time data to users throughout the organization. By implementing dataSIGN, Strickler has been able to re-focus on what they do best...making custom designed signs.

Implementation

Strickler was one of our earlier dataSIGN installations. As such, the implementation activities were partially developed during that period. Strickler was quite helpful during that time, and contributed to the format of the formal implementation process.

The process started with dataSIGN Implementation Specialists gaining a full understanding of Strickler's unique business processes. This helped define how the dataSIGN System should be configured to help them get the full benefit of the product.

Subsequent training was conducted in 1 to 3 hour blocks of time, allowing Strickler to still continue running their business.

Strickler is now realizing and appreciating the integrated aspects of the dataSIGN application.
