Custom Sign Manufacturing Software Company Continues Quarterly Enhancements

This release included many significant product enhancements, including a more contemporary menu structure, smart phone functionality, Apple Computer compatibility and many other improvements to enhance the users' experience.
"The product enhancements within dataSIGN release 1.7.2 were designed to further address the specific needs of the custom sign manufacturing industry," said Sheldon Scheu, Datacom's VP of Product Research and Development. - More contemporary looking menu structure with "Favorites" Menu Option to allow users to "Bookmark" their mostly commonly visited functions in dataSIGN much like using Bookmarks in a web-browser

- Smartphone Functionality
- dataSIGN can be ran from within iPhones, Droid and Windows Mobile devices allowing users to work access data from truly anywhere and "on the go"
- Service Calls
- Single Screen Process with statuses allows users to easily create Work Orders and Sales Orders with 1 click from within the Service Call Screen located in CRM (Customer Resource Management)
- Commission Overrides
- Ability to easily override the Salesperson Commission Rate when doing Sales Orders, Invoice Only Orders, Recurring Invoices, Credit Memos, Reorders and Sales Orders from Proposals.
- One client commented "Those extra columns with the overriding commission rate and the down payments invoiced have probably saved me about 8-10 hours of work this time. Previously, I had to look each sales/service order up to see what the commission rate was and if a down payment was made."
- Quoting/Estimating
- Enhanced Quote Printing to PDF format with sign descriptions populated based on sign template or type
- Purchasing
- New Last Purchase Price Lookup Report allows users to look up last purchase price information for a part, inventory type group or items purchased by Vendor and also includes information about quantity breaks
- New Vendor Insurance Listings allow users to see expiration dates for each vendors insurance
- Job Costing
- Added functionality to "charge" labor premium directly to a particular Work Order with premium displayed in all Job Costing reports
- Accounting/Invoicing
- Create payables 21 days in the future
