New Resource Scheduling Enhances dataSIGN
MINNEAPOLIS, MN —October 31, 2006 - Datacom International, Inc. (“Datacom”) today announced the immediate availability of dataSIGN v1.5. This release offers a new Resource Scheduling Module, enhanced Estimating, comprehensive production reporting, CRM improvements and many other features to enhance the users’ experience. “dataSIGN v1.5 was designed to further enhance the specific needs of the sign industry,” said Sheldon Scheu, Datacom’s Product Manger. “One of the major features of this release is a Resource Scheduling Module. This module was designed to provide management with insight regarding the load placed on resources throughout the company. Resources, as defined here, are more than employees, but can also be equipment, service trucks and third-party vendor resources.” Resource Scheduling provides a summary of all resources, showing hours assigned to each. Resources are “flagged” or marked when overloaded, indicating areas needing adjustment. Drill down functionality reveals the work order(s) specifically assigned to each resource, allowing more accurate control over jobs needing specific attention. This provides dataSIGN users with an easy method to track and adjust needed resources in order to complete each job in a timely fashion.
